     This summer I read Beach Blondes. It’s basically about a girl from the mid-west named Summer who goes to Crab Claw Key Florida, and is predicted to meet three guys. Summers’ Aunt invites Summer to spend the “summer “ in Crab Claw Key because her cousin Diana is deeply depressed and thinks that Summers positive mental attitude can help. On the plain ride to Florida the lady next to her was fortuneteller. She told summer that she would meet three guys; Mr. Mysterious, Mr. Dangerous and Mr. Right. One the plane she meets Seth (Mr. Right). Only to find out that he has a girlfriend in the car ride to Diana’s house. That afternoon she meets Maria Marquez but she prefers being called Marquez because she thinks Maria is too common of a name. The next night she they go to a party at the senator’s house where she meets Adam; the senator's son, who has looks, power, and all the money in the world. Who is also Diana’s ex boyfriend. That night Summer tell Marquez about her brother who was kidnapped at the age of two. Long story short Summer and Adams relationship came to an end when she was told that Adams older brother tried to rape Diana (DANGEROUS). Then there is Diver; your typical beach bum. The mystery man, mellow, intriguing, and definitely unique. He only has ne pair of surf trunks and literally lives on the beach (MYSTERIOUS). Well, and then there is Seth. Over time Summer and Seth fall in love. Except there’s one problem… August?

     Diana’s never really been a happy person. After the rape incident things only got worse. Diana never pressed charges because her only witness (Adam) wouldn’t prosecute his own brother. So she ordered a meeting with the senator and his family; where she tape and video recorded the whole thing. Marquez and Summer thought that Marquez’s boyfriend was Summers missing brother; only to find out that all along it was Diver. And well Summer and Seth are trying to make a long distance relationship work.

     I loved my book because I was reading it in “summer”. Beach Blondes takes place in Florida. And I read it while I was at the beach house in Florida. It’s a good “summer” read.

    Another name I would give this book is “Summer Destiny”; because it takes place during summer, and the main character is named Summer. And destiny because summer finds her missing brother, meets Mr. Right and helps Diana beat her depression.

About Me

Dear Ms. Shawn,

     In this paragraph I will be telling you my life story from beginning to end. I was born in Barranquilla Colombia on September 29 1997 at 7:00 am. My dads Colombian and my mom was born in Chile but raised in New Orleans. I am a fourth generation Colombia. My great grandparents came to Colombia on a fishing boat from Austria during the Second World War.

     I left Barranquilla when I was three and went to New Orleans Louisiana. In 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana and I moved to El Paso Texas in June of 2006. Then in 2009 I came here… to Bogota Colombia; and I couldn’t imagine my self anywhere else.

     I guess the conclusion is that I’m simply different. My name is Sophie instead of Sofia. I’m Jewish.  I’m also the only person in my family that has green eyes. I don’t tan easily (I’m German). I believe that everything that happens in this universe is for a specific reason and because we are nature we should not do anything to disturb it- Laozi. I’ve never eaten pork. I also believe your body is your temple and you should respect it as much as you can, for example: food, tattoos, higene ect.
